Worried about a family member squatting in the house while we're out of town - he has a garage key but does not have permission to go in the house or stay there. The house is soon to be sold, and he's vocalized he feels like he has a right to "his share" of it. He has never lived there and has no right to the home.
What can we do from afar to protect ourselves from him squatting? We really can't return home to deal with it right now, but if worse comes to worse, then we would. There are cameras outside and inside the home, and neighbors to help out, but what should we do legally?
