[UPDATE] Is it worth suing my wedding photographer?

Location: Virginia

Thanks to everyone who commented! I ended up sending one more email reminding our photographer of the 12 week deadline and let them know that if we did not recieve a response within a week, I was prepared to take the matter to small claims court.

Unsurprisingly, that got a response, finally. We got the photos delivered today. I don't want to go through all the issues, but of 400 photos about 200 were decent. We did not get a single photo of the ceremony, despite the photographers being there and paid to cover it.

What I believe happened was that the owner subcontracted more local photographers who were inexperienced and did not get all of the information of what we wanted covered. It appears that the owner is shutting the business down, as all of their pages on FB, Zola, Instagram, etc are all taken down, so I'm not even able to leave a review about the experience.

At the end of the day, we did get some great photos, and that's enough for us. I could probably press the issue of not getting ceremony coverage and subcontracting out, since that was not even discussed in our contract, but I don't find it worth the time and stress. When we renew our vows in a decade or so, I'll definitely pick a better photographer.
