343 days ago I posted to this sub that I thought I found the person that stole my identity. I only received one reply saying that probably nothing will happen.
Well, something has happened.
About 4 months after filing the police report, the Detective on my case had two phone calls with the person I had suspected (and had evidence) of stealing my identity. He then gathered everything I had found and was able to issue four felony warrants for her arrest.
She turned herself in (August 2026) and is now out on bail.
I am waiting for the next phase to happen and will update if anyone is interested.
Apparently, the case is in the pre-indictment stage.
I have her mugshot, but not sure if I’m allowed to share it.
I have worked so hard on this and I am super happy it’s come this far!
