[TX] Is it possible to undo an adult adoption

Location: Texas. So, a few years ago, my parents legally adopted my partner (M/M) when we were both around 24 or 25. We're not biologically related, and we'd already been together for several years before the adoption. My parents just considered him part of the family and wanted to make it official.

We're now looking into getting married, but I've found out that Texas doesn't allow marriage between siblings, even if the relationship is only through adoption.

So, I'm wondering if there's any way to legally undo an adult adoption in Texas. The adoption was completely voluntary, and there wasn't any fraud or anything like that. We just didn't realize at the time that it would prevent us from getting married.

Would he be able to petition a court to dissolve the adoption, or is that not an option? And if it is possible, would my parents have to agree to it, or could he do it on his own?

I'm also curious whether moving to another state would open up any options if Texas doesn't allow it.

I know I'll probably need to talk to an attorney eventually, but I'd like to get a better idea of what's possible before spending money on one.
