Target Baby Wipes Recall

Location: Texas

My family purchased the “up & up” no fragrance baby wipes a few months ago. Since then they have been recalled - I believe as a class 1 recall- which means use of the product is likely to cause harm and maybe even death.

Well we used them before this recall went out.

A couple days after using them, our baby boy developed an infection on his privates, so much so that his privates swelled to 2x, boy was screaming for hours straight. We obviously never made the connection- the recall wasn’t out yet. Who would suspect baby wipes.

We went to our local ER, saw 3 doctors who then sent us to a specialist children’s ER downtown, saw more doctors. I won’t go into specifics about how they treated it because it involves puss and it’s gross, but eventually in the following days, and after medication, the swelling went down and he seemed to go back to normal.

Here’s the problem : I don’t know what to do but I feel like I’m owed compensation.

1. recall says there may be sepsis and pneumonia infections because it can go in the blood stream… this is probably for a medical subreddit but what if the issues aren’t done yet? What if he’s

still

1. sick and we don’t know it?
2. we have a shit ton of medical bills now. That sucks.
3. we didn’t keep the package. We used them and then discarded it before the recall came out. We have a record of it on the target app but I doubt it has the “lot” number or whatever to confirm it’s on the recall.
