Stalker Caught

I’m gonna keep this brief. 6 months ago I found the first tracker on one of my vehicles. In total, I found eight different tracking devices between my two vehicles. Police finally have a suspect who confessed, was arrested and charged.

It’s someone I know, a good friend, who I didn’t expect at all. It turned my life upside down, and caused serious mental issues. It continues to do me harm as it is “outing” me about embarrassing, personal things I would rather keep very private and never divulge to anyone (all legal stuff). The tracking had been going on for the better part of a year.

I have talked to a few law firms, and none seem eager or likely to help. I have some money saved, so I can afford a lawyer (I think).

I am wondering if I should just sit on my hands and let this work its way through the court system or actively find a lawyer to represent me and go after this person both criminally and civilly? I found out this information a week ago. Thank you for any advice.
