I live in an apartment, my immediate neighbor has an assigned parking space next to mine. I have my motorcycle parked in the back of the space and park my car in front of it. My neighbor’s storage closet is directly behind my motorcycle with two feet of space in between. I was pulling into my parking space, and noticed my neighbor and his 4 or 5 year old son crouched behind my motorcycle rummaging through their closet. As I pull in 3/4 of the way, he looks over his shoulder and stands up, walking into my parking space. I reversed not knowing what he was doing. He picks up a plastic snow sled looks at it then slams it on the ground, then tosses it over to his parking space. He began swearing at me since I ran it over. I did not see it. For context, they leave their stuff in my parking spot all the time. Their kids don’t pickup after their toys, and their parking space next to mine is piled high with toys and other junk, and they have to park with half their car protruding out into the parking lot. He called the police demanding them be out here immediately and threatened to call a lawyer. All this time I sat in my car stunned. He began accusing me of almost hitting his child if his child had ran out to save his toy. I maintained that I didn’t see it. The police never showed up. I notified my landlord and provided my dash cam footage. I am certain that if I didn’t have my dash cam he would’ve lied and claimed I hit his son. Should I go to the police to file a report for his aggressiveness? Or should I leave it be?
