Coworker approached me about partnering on a 3 year deal. He had the $ for a down and I had the credit to get a loan approved. He was going to pay me $5000 up
Front and 800 monthly for three years and then would get it transferred into his name….. it’s now been 15 years. His payments to me have been sporadic, but he has always paid the mortgage and insurance even though they are in my name. Recently, I have seen the property and he has let it fall apart, trash, plumbing issues, roof damage and I see how he is risking potential lawsuits. I want out. I have threatened to sell outright. He says I can’t with out his permissions. Is this true? Everything has always been in my name. There is no written agreement between us. After returning his down Payment i planned on splitting the profit equally. I feel that’s more than fair. He is not happy with that offer. Can he keep me from selling the property ?
