NYS Grandparents rights

We recently cut contact with my narcissistic mother for the past 2 months after finding out some really disgusting things and she is now threatening petitioning for visitation for grandparents rights. What are the chances we end up losing, I really don’t want my kids to be in contact with her, we live hours away within the same state. They rarely ever saw her in person prior to going no contact and only FaceTimed once a week maybe sometimes twice.

Our relationship has always been strained for years due to repeated boundary violations and behavior that has caused emotional distress since I was a child. For the safety and stability of my family, I have chosen to go no contact with her. She has repeatedly contacted me despite clear boundaries. She has attempted to go through my husband when I stopped responding.

Location: We are in WNY and she lives in NYC, where would the court even take place? Would we have to travel? What constitutes a substantial relationship?

Any advice on what actions I can take to prevent petitioning or being successful in staying no contact.
