Neighbor came to my house with a rifle

Just as stated in the title, my neighbor came to my house with a rifle and threatened to kill tenants dogs if they ever go back on his property. I am in the state of Hawaii. I have a new tenant who moved in last week with 2 very small dogs who are truly well behaved and have no previous incidents with the neighbor. Today they went onto his property and chased the neighbors chickens and wounded one of their legs. It all happened very fast, we were all outside with them, and they were chased home by the other property owner who was rightfully upset, we apologized and explained they are being trained into an electric fence. It was tense and he walked away. The dogs were put straight inside. I understand we are in the wrong and will take full responsibility. What happened about ten minutes later is what I need advise with, the owners father then came down with his large dog, who is super sweet, but unleashed all the same with a rifle over his shoulder, as he approached the front door he took it off his shoulder and pointed it in the direction of the front door, we were not inside to see this, it’s all on our Ring camera, he then walked into the front yard and just stated if the dogs come back he’s going kill them. He said it twice and walked away. This is the first time anything like this happened. He is a very challenging person and has always been someone I kept at a distance. I spoke with his daughter who downplayed the incident saying he is hot headed and it was only a pellet gun. Legally what could he be charged with? And what is the chance he will actually get in trouble? I can’t ignore this and also don’t want to escalate things further. I have tried to reach out to him, but he is not responding.
