Location: Tennessee
For context I live out in the mountains and was born and raised there. Everyone lets their dogs roam free, so we try to mind them when driving (most of my family lives in the holler). Well I don’t want my dogs hurt or lost so I have a big fence in lot they can run around in that connects to a doggy door in my house. I also live near about 10 methheads that have moved in recently since one got out of prison. They trash the place, fight, do drugs, drive/walk up and down the road constantly, and starve their dogs (I feed them). Anyways i let my dogs out of the lot when I clean it up because they jump all over me and like to visit my grams dogs and play in the creek. I was outside with them when I see one of my methhead neighbors purposefully road off into the ditch to hit my dog then speed off. Luckily my dog is fine, the ER vet said her right leg is broke and we are going to see ortho tomorrow. She was on my lawn when he serve to hit her then drove off. My gram witness the whole thing too. I am so mad right now. I am so tired of living in fear next to these people, I can’t sleep because they drive 24/7, I don’t feel comfortable letting my dogs outside for 30 mins, and they keep polluting the land/creek. Is there anything I can do?? I can’t live like this. Thank you. Sorry if this is hard to read I’ve been up all night with a hurt dog.
