My father just moved into an assisted living facility after jumping between various shitty nursing homes. I overheard him calling mom to have her talk with his social worker about a nurse that keeps forcably putting him to bed at 6:30 PM and just recently groped his crotch to check if he wet his diaper. He was scared to even mention the nurse's name over the phone. He was begging mom to come to him and she became very annoyed before hanging up to make a disinterested call to his social worker.
Our county took literal years to even address prior behavior from other nursing homes (ex. Not giving him his medication for his severe asthma and letting him sit in his own feces for hours). His own spouse does not seem that concerned for some reason. Based on past behavior, it is also very possible he is not admitting everything because he does not want to "cause trouble".
I have no idea what to do. I only turned 19 last month and I am not knowledgeable about the law. Can I go to the police? What do I say to them? His social team is not going to do jack shit and I am extremely worried about his safety. He is a vulnerable adult.
