Just received a letter stating that I was overpaid about $12,000 in unemployment???

Location: Maui, Hawaii.

I have been self employed for about 5/6 years until last month when I became a regular employee again at a new company so I assume that’s how my name came up in whatever system. I just got a letter in the mail saying I owe $12,000 to unemployment that I was “overpaid.” But the thing is, I didn’t receive $12,000 from unemployment??? I received MAYBE $800 total for the very short time during the initial COVID lockdown phase when I wasn’t working, but I was deemed essential pretty fast and went back to work in less than a month. I never received another cent from unemployment after that. How in the heck did I end up with a $12,000 overpayment to my name?

I am still using the same back account I had back then so I can literally see that no money came in from unemployment after those few deposits in the beginning of COVID.

I will do everything to straighten this out on Monday but… does anyone have any ideas of what the heck is up?
