I work in a pizza shop during my breaks from college, and recently (last summer), the owners have started capping the amount I and my coworkers are allowed to make in tips at $25 a shift. We don’t accept tips via credit card, despite allowing customers to pay for their order with them. Sometime around the last 15 minutes of the shift, one of the owner/managers will divide the tips earned during the shift among the cashiers. If the amount is over $25 a person, the remaining cash seems to disappear. Is there anything I can do about this?
