We had a good friend that had us open an insurance claim. The finger got infected & the medical bill was around $30,000 she had to get it cleaned out. . Our 8 pound dog nipped her finger and they are now asking for $500,000. We received the demand letter and it was FULL of lies they were proved to be lies by medical records and text messages. They hired an injury attorney. It’s a very long story but they screwed us over. We offered to pay the bill but they said their medical insurance said we needed to open a claim. We were friends & trusted them .
My question is , can anything be done about the lies that were told by them & their attorney ?
The demand stated she received several bites when it was only one small nip & they said I couldn’t control my dog. He was asleep on the couch. She went to pet him. He growled & she immediately went to pet him again. I have the text messages to prove it
