Location: toledo, Ohio. Like the title says, I was arrested.
A little backstory - I called the cops for my neighbor bc I was witnessing elder abuse. The cops come and they ask me mt name and info. I give them that - I find out I have a traffic warrant from 2023. He handcuffs me and I have my wallet and stuff in my hand. He takes my bags and I still have my wallet. I hand him my wallets while in cuffs and set it on top of my iPad. I’m then placed in the car.
They take to jail and I’m release 45 mins later . I get my stuff and my wallet was never booked in my belongings. I called 911 and they said contacted the officer and he stated he was never in possession of my wallet.
I left internal affairs for body cam footage. a voicemail but I can’t get over how my wallet and all my cash is missing. I’m so fucked without this money and my credit cards were inside so it’s just a lot to swallows. Advice? Am I SOL?
