Location: Nevada
So I was working at a BBQ place and habe been working there for 5 and a half years with no problems. We recently got new management who I heard were planning on bringing in new and "attractive" women for their new image. Cool. Fine. But the last few weeks were pretty bad. I was a server and had no issues with my job but the regional manager kept coming and nitpicking me about my job. I would adjust to the new rules no problem and was keeping up. But rhe other day she got after me for giving her attitude for telling her that I was about to run my food after she gave me attitude for standing around (mind you I was checking the plates to make sure they had the right food). Well today I was fired for giving her attitude again when I was overwhelmed with customers and had no help. I asked for help but was denied. She waited until I had at least 20 customers all asking for something to start demanding and listing more things I needed to do and I told her it had to wait until things slowed down because I was busy but she kept going off. I asked her to remove an item a customer never got (because we didn't have it but for some reason they put it on the system we did) and she yelled at me for interrupting (which fair I did but I needed to ask before I forgot since I had like 20 things going on at once). She refused me the help and instead waited until I was finally done to fire me...waited until the rush was over with no help to fire me for attitude (I asked in a calm tone; there was no attitude). She told me it was my attitude but on paper it said grooming (I take showers every day and my clothes are always clean; I did not smell and never had complaints about smells). I was not allowed to refuse to sign since the conversation happened in the back and she physically blocked the hallway to the exits so I would of had to shove past her. This place has also refused to allow me to make a incident report when I pulled my back out at work and had to take a week off.
Is there anything I can do to argue the dismissal and sue or am I pretty much shit out of luck? (Not really sue crazy but I find it unfair my termination was unfair)
