Hi, the other day I was driving my mom home in a car under my name and we were pulled over. I stupidly forgot to renew my tags and the cop was very nice about it. He noticed that my mom didn’t have a seatbelt on so he asked for her ID. She naturally threw a fit and was arrested. The cop told me I was free to go once I proved my ownership of the car and I left. I got home and decided to look around the passenger seat because I had a feeling my mom was using again. I found a bag of what I can assume is cocaine wedged under the seat. I’m worried that I’ll get in legal trouble for having it in my car, even though I didn’t know it was here until now. How should I proceed? I’m thinking I should just dump it down the toilet but I don’t want to incriminate myself even more than I already have.
