Just needing advice for a buddy.
His sister got her 2nd dui after hitting somebody while driving drunk. Guy she hit is suing her via a bodily injury lawyer. She doesn't really have anything to offer and her insurance is maxed out at 50k but they want more. So when meeting with the suing party's lawyer during a mediation she gave my buddys (her brother) insurance info. and now they are trying to sue him and his insurance (state farm) for her wrong doings because they live at the same address. Different policies though. He has nothing to do with it and is low contact with her.
Should he be worried? Doesn't seem right to go after his insurance because hers maxed out when he wasn't even in the same town the dui happened in.
Apparently this bodily injury lawyer is known to go the extra mile to get his clients the most money.
