During our shift today, we went on break at 9am, at 9:15 a fire drill was going off at our school (school in california) & my manager made us stay in our breakroom to figure out if it was real or not and if it was ok if we can stay inside to finish our break. she came back 9:23 to say we can stay to finish our break bc she didnt want to interrupt our break because then wed have to restart it. we went back to work at 9:30 & the alarm was going off our whole second half of our break 9:15-9:28, was she allowed to make us stay during an active fire drill to make us finish out of breaks because she was so behind today on our work she didnt want to postpone our breaks. location: california
