Ex is trying to terminate alimony.

My location: Michigan

My ex location: Kentucky

he is/was military. We were married before he joined, and divorced at our 20 year mark. Finalized Nov 2023 (in ky)

We split without lawyers and I let him keep the house, almost everything in it, and i wasnt gonna move our daughter, we would share full custody of our daughter (currently 17yo) I would not pay child support if I didnt touch his retirement which per the military I am entitled to.

I did the stay at home mom thing for 10+ years so there is a huge gap in my resume. Starting over has been rough.

We agreed on 1600 a month alimony for 6 years. Then I was informed that I would be getting 1300 a month for 4 years of the 6 because we were paying off a consolidation loan that we had. But the 15k I put on my credit card for the house and our children was mine alone to deal with.

I got an email from his lawyer asking me to sign a document to terminate alimony Friday afternoon, no explanation, and a mention about waiving child support still.

Ex (rank W02) says he cant make ends meet, because hes supporting our 17yo and 21 yo 100% (my 21 yo is in the army and they are paying for his college and he can and has gotten part time summer jobs )

His gov contract fiance has been living with him for longer than Ive been able to live on my own. Im not stupid I know that they (even just him) make 3 to 4 times more money a month than I do.

Him taking away the 1300 a month will put me living in my car.

I cant afford a lawyer, and I cant afford to miss work to go to ky (i know there's zoom calls) if I have to.

I just dont know what to do, and im stressed.

Any and all advice is appreciated

I do feel like I got screwed bad in the divorce and that he just hasn't had to deal with the changes of divorce and now retirement and since its getting hard hes taking away my support because screw me right?
