Employer docking pay for bathroom breaks that go over 5 minutes

So this is weird and I'm not sure if it's even legal. I work at a small distribution warehouse in Ohio and last week my boss installed these new time tracking tablets outside the bathrooms. We're supposed to scan our badge when we go in and scan again when we come out. If the break is longer than 5 minutes they automatically deduct that time from our hours.

I have IBS and sometimes I genuinely need more than 5 minutes. I talked to my supervisor about it and he said the policy applies to everyone no exceptions and that if I have a medical issue I should see a doctor and plan my bathroom use around my shift. That doesn't really work for obvious reasons.

Last paycheck I lost almost 40 minutes of pay because of this system. Is this something they can actually do? I thought bathroom breaks were supposed to be paid time and you can't just dock people for using the restroom. The whole thing feels super invasive too like they're timing how long I'm in there.

Do I have any options here or do I just need to find a different job? I've been here for almost two years and this policy just started this month.
