So I just wanna start by saying I am very embarrassed by this charge. I’ll give a little background I hope it’s not too long. And i’ll ask my questions at the end.
So I started dating this girl and the first 3 months were great. One weekend she left me and broke up because I didn’t have money to go out. So she went out with her friends. She called me continuously while she was out maybe to get a reaction. I didn’t give one but at midnight she calls me and asks if she can get a ride home from the bar. I knew she had DWI probation so i agreed to go and pick her up. When she got in the car she tried to touch me and be seductive I kindly asked her to stop and that I was only bringing her home. She got infuriated and opened my car door up on the highway going 70mph. I called her a vulgar word and said shut my door. She didn’t like the word i called her so she got on my middle console and punched me in the face continuously. I slung her off of me with my right arm and my knuckle hit her in the corner of the eye. I felt terrible i immediately apologized over and over. She then told me she was calling her brother to shoot me. At this point we were almost at her house so i stopped out front and asked her to get out. She told me no and wouldn’t move. I then told her if she didn’t get out i would pull her out so i pulled her out after asking 4 times. Everything was fine until i got a call at 4 am with her saying she was at the hospital. And asking if i could pick her up. I picked her up… brought her home and she called the police station the next day to drop the charges.
Fast forward 4 months I moved in with her (stupid me) we are going to her friend’s birthday party and we all get in a limo. The nights going good until we get to the club where she tells me i’m looking at her friends figure. I know how she is when she’s intoxicated so i ask her if we can leave. She says yes and we get in an uber. She starts yelling and screaming at me in the uber telling me how terrible i am as a boyfriend for looking at other women. It got so bad we got kicked out of the uber. We get a second uber and that was a quiet ride until we got to my car. We get in my car I turn on the music to lighten the mood and she goes to turn the music off. I push her arm away from the volume. And she starts screaming at me telling me that i need to get out of the apartment. I paid the rent 2 days prior so i asked for the money back. She refused to give it to me and that’s when i lost my temper. I screamed give me my money I need it for another place to stay. I punched my steering wheel a few times out of frustration. And she called the cops i saw she was on the phone with the cops and immediately asked her to please hang up. At which point she did hang up. I said let’s take a minute and talk about how we can change the relationship because this isn’t working. We went for a little car ride and she saw my phone light up LT from work she was texting me to tell me about the field on Monday. She went berserk she ripped my kids picture in half she took every drink in my car and poured it on the floor she picked up a big metal cup and attempted to hit me in the face. I blocked it and that’s when i open palmed her in the head. I then said let me take you home i’ll just grab my stuff and leave. She took everything and threw it all over the floor. I picked up what i could and put it in my car. She locked both doors behind me at which point i noticed i didn’t have my car keys. I begged to get them back and she didn’t give them to me until the cops arrived. When the cops arrived they said i had a warrant for my arrest and gave me 4 charges. I had a 96k bond and was in jail for 2 weeks.
Fast forward it’s been 8 months now. I’ve been to 2 settlement conferences and my attorney is trying to drop all charges. The prosecutor isn’t against it and hasn’t offered me any pleas and hasn’t said anything except she needs to validate her non prosecution orders by calling the office. I haven’t spoke to her in 8 months and don’t plan to but this could end my career in the army of 12 years. My questions are.
Does she have to validate the non prosecution orders?
Is this a good indication that my charges are going to be dropped?
