Deeded handicap parking with new condo

Location: San Francisco

I am contemplating buying a condo that comes with a deeded handicap parking space. I am not handicapped. The real estate agent said that I could park there and if someone handicapped moves into the building, I would have to swap spots with them. I don’t mind switching spots.

My concern comes with the fact that not all condos have a parking space for the unit. As the spaces are deeded, they have been bought and sold over the years. I’m wondering if a handicapped person were to move into a unit without a space, would I have to give up the spot and not receive one in return? The garage is under the building, only accessible via keycard.

Any thoughts on if I would have to give up the spot potentially?
