daughter was terminated for stealing from retail job location: new jersey . they suspended her for a week then called her in for a meeting today to give her termination paperwork and said she can pay back money $180 in 4 installments and something would be coming in the mail explaining how to do it. We are on housing assistance section 8 shes 21 I emailed them and said she was terminated an sent final paystub and said if they need additional paperwork let me know and I will send it. it just her and I and I work and get ssdi due to multiple sclerosis. if housing wants a copy of the termination paperwork that shows what she did they didnt call the police from what I understand im just really worried about her being removed from the housing. she knows what she did was wrong and is ashamed they watched her over 3 month and once it got to 180 they called her in and suspended her. she would take chicken nuggets water juice one time pads but I guess it was alot. everything I read says section 8 won't remove her since its not a violent crime or drugs is that true? I know what she did was wrong and so does she but she wouldnt have anywhere to go and I think she learned her lesson I pray she did. as for paying back in installments I told her she needs to cash her paycheck they gave her today and send the whole amount get it over with. im sitting here in tears worried for her. I have to wait until Monday to get a response from housing their closed tomorrow. before you say shes adult she did it to herself I know that but now im trying to figure out what to do shes my daughter and im not helping her pay the amount back she is doing that on her own I just need some advice. thank you
