Claim Against Estate with No $

Location: Kentucky

The title kinda sums it up. I'm executor of my mom's estate and trying to wrap things up informally. No $ in bank accounts with a home that's 3 years into a mortgage. It's currently worth significantly less than is owed on it due to undisclosed foundation and electrical issues. That being said, I'm making the payments on the home out if my own pocket and currently reside there.

The kicker is that a claim was filed by a credit card company against the estate for $5300. With no money or estate assets of any value, they have suggested that I, the executor, establish a payment plan. Can I just deny this claim as it's an unsecured debt? Are they just trying to fish for weakness to get money out of "anyone" at this point? I appreciate any input, I'm trying to navigate this without a lawyer due to lack of $.

As things stand, informal documentation requirements for all heirs have been filled out, but this claim is holding up the process.
