hi Reddit! so me and my partner adopted a siamese recently, adopted July 9 at the Dallas Animal Services, got her home, after being spayed on July 10th. now this is my problem, we live separately and I’ve had the cat with me since the day we got her but legally, she’s in his name and his address, though she’s never stayed there, & he said he got her for me for my birthday. we’re currently going through a break up and he said he’s calling the cops on me and acuse of me stealing her just because I wasn’t answering his texts. if he ends up doing that but I have proof of him saying he was her for my birthday and how he’s always saying he’d take her from me if I don’t do what he wants me to do, would I be able to keep her? or any other advice you might have for me? I just don’t want to lose her, she’s only three months old.
