Can I dispute Police due diligence: Assault allegation?

After years of struggling alone with the trauma I experienced from a 10-year relationship involving Domestic Violence, I recently started Trauma Therapy for PTSD Treatment. As part of this healing journey, I wanted to get timeframes right in my head. I requested the police records from several reports I had made involving my ex, the biggest being an Aggravated Assault case where I was the victim.

The incident occurred on March 28, 2022.

It ended up being “CLOSED - Unfounded.”

I now have the report and, after my review, I’m shocked at what I’ve read…

— The allegation involved a gun, and I remember informing the Police that day that he had 2 guns…

However, when they asked the other party if he had a firearm, he admitted to one (didn’t voluntarily say he had two). The police asked to see it, and, quoted directly from the police report, he escorted the officer “to his bedroom where he pointed at a black box under a nightstand next to his bed indicating the firearm was inside of the box. I then walked over to the box and grabbed it. I noticed there was an undisturbed layer of dust on the gun case around the handle and latches of the case.

I opened the case find a black and purple [REDACTED] handgun in the case. The firearm was not chambered and did not have a magazine loaded into it. The loaded magazine was in the case as well.”

- My comments on the above:

1) *** They did not ask or look for a 2nd weapon.

When they got to the scene, he was leaving the premises in his car and the cops stopped him, see quote from report: “I stopped the vehicle and spoke to [REDACTED]. He was confrontational and non compliant. After speaking with him and de-escalating the situation he complied with my request to turn off the vehicle and exit it.”

*** It does not state that they frisked him.

*** What if the gun was on him or in the vehicle or in the actual room where the assault took place!?!! (Didn’t happen in his bedroom…leading to my next point…)

2) *** The report doesn’t indicate AT ALL that they looked in the room where I stated the assault took place. Why not???

— 911 WAS ON THE LINE WHILE THE ASSAULT WAS TAKING PLACE; HOWEVER, I WAS FEARFUL FOR MY LIFE IN THE MOMENT, AND SO I WAS HIDING MY PHONE UNDER THE PILLOW I WAS BEING MUFFLED ON, WHICH ENDED UP MUFFLING MOST OF THE PHONE CALL. HOWEVER, THIS WAS RECORDED FROM MY 911 CALL, AS TRANSCRIBED ON THE POLICE REPORT HERE:

“MAPPING OVER BUILDING 3, OPEN LINE CAN HEAR 101 CRYING AND SCREAMING AND MALE SAYING "YOU BETTER GET UP, DO YOU WANT 1 BULLET TO THE HEAD".

- My comment on the above:

1) This is also from the police report: “[REDACTED] was asked about telling her to get up and if she wanted a bullet to the head. He denied ever making such a statement.”

*** AND THAT’S THE ONLY THING WRITTEN ON THE MATTER!!! - HOW CAN THEY TAKE HIS WORD OVER AUDIO PROOF???

If anyone can please help me figure this out… I have been stuck on this for years… wondering why he wasn’t taken away that day, why didn’t the cops believe me…

LOCATION:

- POLICE INCIDENT OCCURRED IN: AZ

- BOTH PARTIES NOW RESIDE IN: PA
