I bought some items at a box store. I was walking out of the store and the clerk started yelling at me, ran up to me, took my items that I paid for and told me a get out of the store. I was just standing there trying to figure out what to do and then the clerk and the store manager started verballing attacking me and harassing me telling I have to leave and verbally degrading me. As more people show up to yell at me, I leave the store. Then they start following me on bikes as I am trying to leave inuring my knee.
The cops come and go to the store and tell them they are wrong and gives me my stuff back. Tells them they need to be more careful about this stuff. Then he says its a civil matter, talk to a lawyer and leaves.
The clerk told the cop he never asked if I paid for the items, he never asked for a receipt, they just thought I stole from them and wanted to stop theft. I am so shaken up over this.
I don't know what to do - I feel so helpless about this situation.
