Hey I was on Twitter and was just being really stupid, I should know better as someone who’s been on the internet for a long time, but I typed in a link I found on Twitter while trying to find a clip from a movie that somebody posted. And of course since Twitter is just a cesspool of garbage human beings, I was immediately redirected to a video of very graphic illegal content. I closed safari immediately on my iPhone, but because of the way Apple handles background tasks and closing apps, when I reopened safari at most a few minutes later the tab was still there, and only then was I able to close it properly.
I submitted an anonymous tip about the account who posted it on the official FBI site, and reported the account through Twitter, should I be worried at all about any repercussions or legal consequences over clicking a bad link? The post had thousands of views before being taken down so I’m sure other people were tricked into clicking an illegal link like I did.
I’m more concerned about it possibly seeing me as staying on the link because of the way safari works? And would like some advice or closure on if I’m just being paranoid over nothing.
