I really don’t know how to phrase or ask this. If anything seems weirdly vague, it’s on purpose. I’m not the only victim so even if he or someone he knows happens upon this I don’t think it can be traced back to me.
While we were together, years ago, he: sexually assaulted me, physically assaulted me, and made numerous threats to my life and the lives of my loved ones. Like many abuse survivors, I deleted texts (evidence 🤦🏿♀️) out of shame and the need to move on and heal, and when I had fresh bruises never went to the police.
More than once, I woke up to him sitting on the bed I was sleeping in and holding a loaded gun. I am positive that my life was in danger, in a premeditated way. He has a history of violence with romantic partners.
Some years ago, he killed a stranger with his car. The trial has been drawn out.
My question is, would any statement I made to anyone in judicial authority make a difference, or would it be considered hearsay or libel/slander and so hurt the validity of the case?
I really don’t know who or where else to ask, only certain family members and close friends know what he put me through and to what extent. I really don’t like making it known.
